The Best XI for the 2026 MTN Elite U-19 Championship has been unveiled following the conclusion of the 11-day Second Division youth competition at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram on Friday, September 4, 2026.
Champions Ashanti Region lead the Team of the Tournament with three players recognised for their outstanding performances during the competition.
Goalkeeper Kelvin Osei Owusu, defender Morgan Asenso and midfielder Issah Seidu were all selected after playing key roles in Ashanti Region’s successful campaign, which culminated in a thrilling 4-3 victory over Eastern Region in the final.
Runners-up Eastern Region have two representatives in the Best XI, with right-back Inusah Tahiru and right winger Sammed Zakaria rewarded for their consistent displays throughout the tournament.
Brong Ahafo Region also contribute two players, with Frimpong Jnr and Osafo Antwi earning places after impressive performances during the championship.
Central Region are represented by Prince Boateng and Desmond Korlettey, with Korlettey receiving further recognition after being named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.
Greater Accra’s Teye Enoch and Upper East Region’s Rashid Yakubu complete the Best XI.
