Accreditation has opened for journalists and photographers seeking to cover Ghana’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against The Gambia at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Media professionals interested in covering the fixture are required to submit their accreditation requests via email to pr@sportsauthority.gov.gh no later than 17:00 GMT on Thursday, September 24, 2026.
Applicants must include a copy of a passport photograph with their accreditation request. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered, while requests without a passport photograph will also be rejected.
Due to limited space in the media tribune at the Accra Sports Stadium, media organisations will be allocated positions according to the following quotas:
Television: 3
Radio: 2
Print/Online Portal: 1
The media area at the stadium has a capacity of only 200 journalists. Consequently, a shortlist of successful applicants will be published on Friday, September 25, 2026.
Successful applicants can collect their accreditation tags from the SWAG Secretariat at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, September 28, 2026, between 09:00 and 16:00 GMT.
The accreditation notice was issued by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Communications Department as preparations continue for the crucial AFCON qualifying fixture.
