Tottenham Hotspur forward Mohammed Kudus has emerged as a potential transfer target for Atletico Madrid as the Spanish giants explore options to strengthen their attack, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The Ghana international is reportedly among several players being considered by Atletico as they assess possible reinforcements ahead of the new campaign.
However, Mundo Deportivo indicates that the options on Atletico’s shortlist could prove difficult to secure, suggesting that the club has yet to find a straightforward solution to its attacking needs.
Kudus remains under contract with Tottenham after joining the Premier League side from West Ham United, meaning Atletico would face a significant challenge if they decide to pursue the 26-year-old.
The Ghanaian is also currently recovering from a quadriceps injury that has kept him out of action since January.
Kudus initially attempted to recover without surgery but eventually underwent an operation, a setback that ruled him out of Ghana’s 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign.
The forward has since resumed light individual training, offering hope that he is nearing a return to full fitness. Tottenham head coach Roberto De Zerbi has also indicated that Kudus is “almost ready” to return to action.
Despite the latest reports linking him with Atletico Madrid, there is currently no indication of advanced negotiations between the Spanish club and Tottenham for the Ghana star.
For now, Kudus’ priority remains completing his rehabilitation and returning to competitive action for Tottenham, while Atletico Madrid continue to assess their attacking options in the transfer market.
