Representatives of China Railway Construction (CRC), a leading global infrastructure development company, have paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Iddie Adams, to explore potential areas of collaboration in sports infrastructure development.
During the meeting, the CRC delegation highlighted the company’s extensive experience in the construction and development of major sports facilities, including modern stadiums, training centres and recreational parks.
The representatives noted that Ghana’s growing focus on sports infrastructure could provide opportunities for strategic collaboration aimed at improving sporting facilities, promoting sports tourism and contributing to the health and well-being of citizens.
“Our company is dedicated to supporting Ghana’s vision of becoming a hub for sports excellence,” the CRC representatives said, while emphasising the company’s commitment to quality, sustainability and community development.
The delegation also expressed interest in possible future projects in Ghana, including the construction and development of sports facilities and stadiums to support the country’s sporting ambitions.
Minister Kofi Adams welcomed the CRC delegation and acknowledged China’s significant contribution to infrastructure development across Africa.
He stressed the importance of international partnerships in providing world-class sports facilities that can promote national unity, enhance public health and strengthen national pride.
Adams thanked China Railway Construction for its interest in Ghana and assured the delegation of the government’s readiness to facilitate discussions on potential collaborations and projects within the sports sector.
