Ghanaian striker Eddie Nketiah is no longer facing legal proceedings from Bromley Council after complying with a building notice issued to him.
The 27-year-old Crystal Palace forward had been prosecuted by the south-east London council for allegedly failing to complete required building works within the stipulated timeframe between February and August 2025.
Nketiah was previously served with a notice under Section 99 of the Building Act 1984, requiring him to carry out the specified works.
The former Arsenal striker pleaded not guilty to the charge when he appeared before the court on October 21 last year.
However, the case was brought to an end at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, September 8, after prosecutor Sandra Torma informed the court that Bromley Council had decided to withdraw the proceedings.
The court confirmed that the case had been dropped after Nketiah “complied with the requirements” outlined in the building notice.
The footballer, who resides in the Bromley area, was not present at Tuesday’s hearing.
Nketiah joined Crystal Palace in 2024 following his departure from Arsenal and has since made 54 appearances for the club, scoring nine goals.
During his Arsenal career, the striker also spent time on loan at Leeds United before establishing himself as a Premier League forward.
The Palace attacker is also reportedly close to switching his international allegiance from England to Ghana, with the necessary process being pursued for a potential move to the Black Stars.
With the legal matter now resolved following his compliance with Bromley Council’s requirements, Nketiah can turn his full attention back to football as Crystal Palace continue their 2026/27 campaign.
