Dutch-Ghanaian winger Elton Acolatse has completed a move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Hazem from Hungarian giants Ferencvaros for a reported €2.5 million.
The 31-year-old completed the transfer on 27 August 2026, bringing his seven-month spell in Hungary to an end as he begins a new chapter in Saudi Arabia.
Acolatse joined Ferencvaros from fellow Hungarian club Diosgyor in January for €1.5 million. He made three appearances for Ferencvaros at the start of the 2026/27 campaign, featuring twice in Europa League qualifying and once in the Nemzeti Bajnoksag.
The left winger accumulated 30 minutes in European competition and 34 minutes in the Hungarian top flight, without registering a goal or assist. He did not start any of the three matches.
Acolatse arrives at Al-Hazem with a reported market value of €700,000, adding considerable experience to the Saudi club’s attacking options.
Born in Amsterdam, the winger began his senior career with KVC Westerlo after leaving Ajax’s Under-21 setup in 2016. He subsequently joined Club Brugge before going on to represent clubs including Sint-Truiden, Hapoel Beer Sheva, Bursaspor, FC Ashdod and Diosgyor.
His career has seen him compete in Belgium, Israel, Turkey and Hungary. He also enjoyed successful spells with Hapoel Beer Sheva, helping the club win the Israeli Cup in 2019/20.
Acolatse added another major honour to his collection during the 2025/26 season when he won the Hungarian Cup with Ferencvaros.
Earlier in his career, he was part of the Ajax setup that won the Dutch Under-19 title in 2014 and featured for the Netherlands team that claimed the UEFA European Under-17 Championship in 2012.
The right-footed winger, who holds Dutch and Ghanaian nationality, will now bring his experience across multiple European leagues to the Saudi Pro League.
His €2.5 million transfer to Al-Hazem was completed on 27 August 2026, with Acolatse leaving Ferencvaros after just seven months to begin a new adventure in Saudi Arabia.
