Ghanaian defender Kojo Peprah Oppong has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Turkish giants Fenerbahce, with the Super Lig club said to be considering a move for the 22-year-old centre-back.
Oppong currently plays for French Ligue 1 side Nice, whom he joined from Swedish club Norrkoping in July 2025 for a reported €2.68 million.
The Accra-born defender remains under contract with Nice until 30 June 2029 and has a current market value of approximately €10 million, giving the French club a strong position should Fenerbahce make a formal approach.
Oppong has yet to feature for Nice in Ligue 1 this season, having remained an unused substitute in the club’s only league fixture so far.
He did, however, gain valuable international experience at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, making two appearances for Ghana and playing 13% of the Black Stars’ available minutes. He also picked up one yellow card during the tournament.
A potential move to Fenerbahce would see Oppong leave French football for the Turkish Super Lig, although there is currently no confirmation that a transfer has been completed or that an agreement has been reached between the two clubs.
Oppong began his senior career with Norrkoping after leaving the De Visser Academy in 2023. He also spent time on loan with GIF Sundsvall before returning to Norrkoping, where his performances eventually attracted interest from Nice.
Nice secured his permanent transfer in July 2025, and the Ghanaian has since continued his development in France.
With three years remaining on his current contract, Nice are under no immediate pressure to sell the defender, who currently wears the No. 37 shirt for the Ligue 1 club.
For now, Oppong remains a Nice player, with any potential move to Fenerbahce dependent on whether the reported interest develops into a formal offer.
