The story of PW/Inspector Hannah Nunoo is one of dedication, growth and purposeful leadership — a remarkable journey that has taken her from the football pitch to the heart of football administration.
For nearly two decades, Inspector Nunoo has combined her responsibilities as a police officer with a passion for sport, steadily building a reputation as a committed administrator and a strong advocate for the welfare and development of female footballers.
Her journey with Ghana Police Sports began in 2006, when she featured as a football player. Those early years on the pitch shaped her understanding of the demands of competitive football and gave her valuable insight into the discipline, sacrifices, teamwork and challenges faced by athletes.
In 2014, she took the next major step in her football career when she was appointed Assistant Team Manager of Police Ladies FC. She remained in the position until 2023, spending almost a decade helping to coordinate the team while playing an important role in player welfare, discipline and administration.
But Inspector Nunoo’s influence was not limited to club football.
In 2022, she served as Welfare Officer for Ghana’s Black Damsels, giving her the opportunity to work at the national level and contribute to the welfare and development of some of the country’s most promising young female footballers.
A year later, her growing experience was rewarded when she was appointed Team Manager of Police Ladies FC. The new position placed her at the centre of the club’s operations, where leadership, organisation, discipline and player welfare became even greater parts of her responsibilities.
Her contribution to women’s football continued to attract recognition.
In 2024, Inspector Nunoo was appointed Team Manager of the Black Maidens, Ghana’s national U-17 women’s team. The appointment further demonstrated the confidence placed in her ability to manage, motivate and support young players representing the nation.
Then came another significant chapter in 2026, when she took up the role of Football Relations & Regulatory Affairs Officer — broadening her responsibilities beyond team management into football relations, administration and regulatory matters.
