Italian-Ghanaian striker Godberg Cooper has completed a move to Maltese club Birzebbuga St. Peter’s FC, bringing a wealth of international experience to the club’s attacking department.
The Saints have confirmed the arrival of the experienced forward, who begins a new chapter in his career following his most recent spell with Romanian side ASU Politehnica Timișoara.
Cooper developed through the youth ranks of Atalanta before beginning his senior career with Aurora Seriate in 2014.
He continued his development with loan spells at USD Scanzorosciate and ASD Verdello before making his first move abroad in 2017, joining Portuguese club Condeixa.
The forward went on to represent several clubs in Portugal, including Arouca, Espinho and Vianense, before moving to Switzerland to join Schaffhausen.
His career has since taken him across several countries, with Cooper featuring for Kukesi in Albania, Lavello in Italy and Makedonija G.P. in North Macedonia.
The striker also had spells with Romanian clubs Chindia Targoviste and UTA Arad, Kazakhstan's Tobol and Al-Hamriyah in the United Arab Emirates.
Cooper spent the 2025/26 season with ASU Politehnica Timișoara before completing his latest move to Malta.
Birzebbuga St. Peter’s will be hoping Cooper’s extensive experience across different leagues, combined with his attacking ability and knowledge of various football cultures, will add greater firepower to their forward line.
The Maltese club has welcomed the Italian-Ghanaian forward and will be counting on him to make a strong impact in their colours.
