Juventus have secured the future of Ghanaian midfielder Augusto Sedorf Owusu by extending his contract until June 30, 2028.
The new deal underlines the Italian giants’ confidence in the talented midfielder, who has steadily progressed through the club’s youth system and is now entering another important season with Juventus Next Gen.
Owusu has impressed throughout his development at the Turin-based club and recently gained valuable experience with the first team under head coach Igor Tudor during the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.
The opportunity to train and work alongside Juventus’ senior players provided the midfielder with a taste of elite-level football and further highlighted his potential.
He is now set to begin his second campaign with Juventus Next Gen, the club’s reserve side competing in Italy’s professional football system.
Owusu made his senior breakthrough during the 2024/25 campaign, featuring 21 times across the Serie C regular season, play-offs and Coppa Italia Serie C.
Those appearances provided the Ghanaian youngster with an important introduction to professional football and valuable experience at a competitive level.
Born in 2005, Owusu joined Juventus’ youth setup and previously featured for the club’s Under-17 side before spending the 2022/23 season on loan with Reggiana’s Under-19 team.
He subsequently returned to Turin and continued his development with Juventus Primavera, making 19 appearances and scoring one goal before earning his promotion to the Next Gen squad.
With his contract now secured until 2028, Juventus will hope Owusu can continue his steady progression and eventually establish himself as a first-team option at the club.
The renewal represents another significant step in the midfielder’s promising career as he looks to build on his growing experience in Italian football.
