Belgian club KV Kortrijk have had a second offer for Ghanaian midfielder Alex Opoku Sarfo rejected by Cypriot side Aris Limassol as negotiations over the 21-year-old continue.
Kortrijk initially submitted a €600,000 bid for Sarfo before returning with an improved proposal worth €800,000 plus add-ons.
However, Aris Limassol have turned down the latest offer as they continue to stand firm on their valuation of the Ghanaian defensive midfielder.
Despite the rejection, Sarfo is reportedly keen on a move to Belgium and has made his desire to join Kortrijk clear.
The Accra-born midfielder is understood to have communicated his preference to Aris as talks between the two clubs continue, with Kortrijk determined to secure his services ahead of the new season.
Sarfo remains under contract with Aris until May 31, 2028, giving the Cypriot club a strong negotiating position and control over his future.
The midfielder joined Aris from Ghanaian second-tier side Benab FC in July 2023 before spending the following season on loan at fellow Cypriot club AEZ Zakaki.
He later moved to Russian side Pari Nizhny Novgorod on loan in September 2025 and returned to Aris at the end of June 2026.
Sarfo has since established himself as an experienced player in Cyprus, making 46 league appearances and providing one assist. He has also featured nine times in the league championship round, scoring once, while making four appearances in the Kypello Kyprou.
His current market value is estimated at €1 million.
With Kortrijk’s second proposal already rejected, the Belgian club must now decide whether to increase their offer further in an attempt to convince Aris Limassol to part ways with the promising Ghanaian midfielder.
