Medeama SC have expressed their appreciation to their dedicated stewards for their professionalism and hard work during the club’s CAF Champions League encounter against TP Mazembe at the TNA Stadium in Tarkwa.
The Ghanaian champions hosted the Congolese giants in the first leg of their preliminary-round tie over the weekend but suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat.
Medeama will now travel to Lubumbashi for the second leg, where they face the difficult task of overturning the deficit to secure qualification to the next round of the competition.
Despite the disappointing result, the club took time to recognise the crucial role played by its stewards in ensuring the smooth running of the match.
Medeama praised the stewards for their professionalism, discipline and tireless efforts in maintaining a safe, secure and well-organised environment for players, match officials, supporters and other stakeholders.
The club also singled out its Safety and Security Officer, Detective Vincent Danquah, for his leadership and coordination of the security operations during the encounter.
