Polish-Ghanaian midfielder Michael Ameyaw has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for fellow Ekstraklasa side Korona Kielce.
The 25-year-old has made nine appearances for Rakow so far this season, featuring six times in the club’s UEFA Conference League qualifying campaign and scoring once. He has also made three appearances in the Ekstraklasa.
Ameyaw has played a key role in Rakow’s European campaign, starting all six of the club’s Conference League qualifying matches as they continue their push for a place in the competition’s league phase.
The midfielder joined Rakow from Piast Gliwice in September 2024 in a deal reportedly worth €1 million, after spending three seasons with Piast.
Before joining Piast, Ameyaw featured for Widzew Lodz, where he began his senior career after coming through the youth ranks at MKS Polonia’s U-19 setup.
A potential move to Korona Kielce would see Ameyaw remain in Poland’s top flight, but any transfer would require negotiations between the two clubs.
The midfielder is under contract with Rakow until June 30, 2029, meaning the club remains in a strong position regarding his future and would be expected to demand a transfer fee should they agree to his departure.
Born in Lodz, Ameyaw is eligible to represent both Poland and Ghana at international level.
His strong involvement in Rakow’s European qualifying campaign has further highlighted his importance to the club, with the midfielder having featured in all six of their possible Conference League qualifiers and starting each of those matches.
He has also played in three of Rakow’s six possible Ekstraklasa fixtures this season, maintaining his presence in the squad amid growing speculation over his future.
A move to Korona Kielce could therefore present Ameyaw with a fresh challenge while keeping him in Poland’s top division, although any deal would depend on whether Rakow are willing to part with the midfielder before the end of his contract.
