Ghanaian centre-back Mohammed Adams has completed a move to Israeli Liga Leumit side Hapoel Afula ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
The 25-year-old defender joins Afula from Hapoel Ramat Gan, where he spent the past two seasons and played an important role in the club’s promotion to the Israeli Premier League.
Known for his physicality and tough-tackling style, Adams is expected to bring defensive strength and experience to Hapoel Afula as they prepare for the new season.
The club confirmed his arrival on social media, announcing that the Ghanaian has signed a contract until the end of the 2026/27 season through his agent, Yinon Butiba.
“Welcome Adams. The 25-year-old Ghanaian defender has signed with the club until the end of the season through his agent Yinon Butiba,” the club announced.
“Adams, one of the leading defenders in the national team over the past two years, arrives after two seasons with Hapoel Ramat Gan, where he played a significant role in the team’s promotion to the Premier League.”
Adams expressed his delight at joining the club and said he is determined to contribute towards achieving their targets for the season.
“I am happy to sign with Hapoel Afula. I have only heard good things about the club and the team. I believe in myself and my ability to help the team reach its goals this season,” Adams said.
The former Liberty Professionals defender began his career in Ghana before moving abroad, featuring for Finnish clubs FC Honka and RoPS. He later continued his career in Portugal with SC Covilhã before returning to Israel, where he established himself with Hapoel Ramat Gan.
Adams will now look to make another strong impression in Israeli football as he begins a new chapter with Hapoel Afula.
