Ghanaian midfielder Nana Boateng has joined Cypriot club Krasava ENY from Romanian side Petrolul on a free transfer, adding valuable experience and strength to the club’s midfield ahead of the new season.
The 32-year-old completed the move on September 4, 2026, following a short spell with Petrolul during the second half of the 2025/26 campaign.
Boateng joined the Romanian outfit as a free agent on January 30, 2026, after leaving South Korean giants Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, where he had spent two seasons.
The Accra-born midfielder brings a wealth of international experience to Krasava ENY, having played professionally across Europe, North America and Asia.
His decorated career includes a Romanian league title with CFR Cluj during the 2021/22 season, the Finnish Cup with Kuopion Palloseura (KuPS) in 2021 and the Norwegian league championship with Stromsgodset in 2013.
Boateng also enjoyed success in South Korea with Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, helping the club secure both the K League title and the Korean FA Cup during the 2024/25 campaign.
He joined Jeonbuk from CFR Cluj in July 2023 in a reported €1 million transfer, having previously spent two seasons with the Romanian club.
His move to CFR Cluj came after a successful spell with KuPS, where he established himself following his departure from Colorado Rapids in 2019.
Boateng’s professional journey began in Europe with Stromsgodset. He initially joined the Norwegian side on loan from Manchester City in August 2012 before returning to England and eventually making a permanent move to Colorado Rapids in January 2017.
The midfielder’s development began in Ghana, where he came through the Right to Dream academy before joining Manchester City’s youth system in 2011.
Now at Krasava ENY, Boateng will provide the Cypriot club with experience accumulated from top-flight football in Norway, Finland, Romania and South Korea.
The right-footed defensive midfielder is listed at 1.80 metres and is expected to bring composure, physical presence and tactical experience to the Krasava ENY midfield.
Boateng joins the club without a transfer fee and has signed a contract that will keep him at Krasava ENY until May 31, 2027.
