The Director of Sports for the Ghana Police Service, ASP Bernice Rasheeda Abdulai Timbilla, has expressed her gratitude to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for fulfilling its promise to provide Ghana Police Ladies with a brand-new bus.
The gesture comes after Police Ladies were crowned champions of the 2024/25 Malta Women’s Premier League.
Speaking after the official presentation of the bus, ASP Bernice Rasheeda Abdulai Timbilla described the gesture as a great honour and said the new vehicle would go a long way towards improving the team’s transportation needs.
“It’s a good bus. We have earned it, and we are grateful for the honour. They promised to hand it over to us after we won, and finally, today, that promise has been fulfilled,” she said.
She added that the bus would provide important logistical support for the team and serve as a strong foundation for greater achievements in the future.
“It is an honour, and it is going to help us a lot with transportation. This is a start, and it will help us do a lot. We are grateful and happy, and we hope that we will be able to win more,” ASP Timbilla added.
The Ghana Police Service Sports Director also expressed optimism that the team’s success would continue, with the new bus expected to make their movement easier as they pursue more domestic and continental honours.
