Aduana FC head coach Samuel Boadu has urged supporters to remain patient, insisting it is too early to promise that the club will win the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League title.
The experienced coach made the remarks after Aduana FC opened their campaign with a goalless draw against Heart of Lions at the Kpando Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Boadu, who took charge of the Dormaa-based side at the end of last season following the departure of Cioaba Aristica, is focused on building a competitive team and improving their performances as the season progresses.
Speaking to the press after the stalemate, the former Hearts of Oak boss acknowledged the expectations surrounding the club but refused to make an early title commitment.
“For now, I can’t promise we will win the league because this is the beginning. We will do our maximum best to work extra hard so that we can achieve something for the Aduana FC traditional area.”
The result earned Aduana FC their first point of the new campaign, although Boadu will be looking for an improvement in the final third after his side failed to find the back of the net.
Aduana FC, two-time Ghana Premier League champions, will now shift their attention to their next league assignment against FC Samartex.
Boadu and his players will be hoping to turn their promising start into a first victory of the season when they return to action next weekend, as they begin their pursuit of a successful campaign under their new head coach.
