Former Asante Kotoko striker Albert Amoah has completed a move to Saudi Arabian side Hajer FC ahead of the 2026/27 season, with the club officially announcing the signing on Friday, August 14, 2026.
Hajer confirmed that the Ghanaian forward will represent the club in the Saudi First Division League, popularly known as the Yelo League, during the upcoming campaign.
The 24-year-old joins the Saudi outfit after establishing himself as one of the notable strikers in the Ghana Premier League in recent seasons.
Amoah scored 21 goals in 52 appearances in the Ghanaian top flight, showcasing his goalscoring ability and consistency in front of goal.
His move to Saudi Arabia marks a new chapter in his career as he looks to continue his development and make an impact on the international stage.
Amoah previously featured prominently for Asante Kotoko, where he emerged as an important attacking figure.
During the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League campaign, he finished among the division’s leading scorers and produced one of his most memorable performances on the final day of the season, scoring a hat-trick in Kotoko’s thrilling 3-2 victory over Medeama.
His goalscoring instincts, physical presence and intelligent movement in the final third are expected to add greater firepower to Hajer’s attack as the club prepares for the new season.
Speaking after completing his move, Amoah expressed his excitement about joining the Saudi league and highlighted the rapid development of football in the country.
“I am well aware of the development of football in Saudi Arabia, which has become followed all over the world.
“I am happy to be part of this league and I hope to achieve success with Hajer this season and help the team achieve victories,” Amoah said.
The Ghanaian striker will now turn his attention to pre-season preparations as he begins his first experience of Saudi Arabian football.
