Ghanaian-German attacking midfielder Daniel-Kofi Kyereh has completed a move to VfL Osnabrück from Bundesliga side Freiburg on a free transfer.
The 30-year-old midfielder officially joined Osnabrück on 10 August 2026, making the switch from Germany’s top flight to the 2. Bundesliga.
Born in Accra, Kyereh holds both Ghanaian and German nationality and primarily operates as an attacking midfielder. The right-footed playmaker stands at 1.79 metres and is capable of providing an attacking threat from central areas behind the forwards.
Kyereh arrives at Osnabrück with considerable experience in German football, having previously featured for SV Wehen Wiesbaden, where he helped the club win the Hessen Cup during the 2018/19 season.
He also enjoyed success at youth level, winning the German Under-19 Bundesliga North/North-east championship with VfL Wolfsburg’s U19 side during the 2013/14 campaign.
The midfielder developed his career in Germany after being born in Ghana and has since featured at Bundesliga level with Freiburg. His move to Osnabrück now gives the 2. Bundesliga side an experienced option in the attacking midfield department.
Kyereh joins the club without a transfer fee, with his market value currently listed at €100,000. No new contract expiry date has been disclosed by the club.
The move marks a new chapter in Kyereh’s career as he looks to make his experience count for Osnabrück in the German second tier during the 2026/27 season.
