Karela United have completed the permanent signing of Eleven Wonders defender Edmund Afurapoe ahead of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season.
The 24-year-old centre-back joins the Anyinase-based club as they continue to rebuild their squad and strengthen their defensive options ahead of the new campaign.
Afurapoe was a regular member of the Eleven Wonders defence during the 2025/26 season, making 23 league appearances for the Techiman-based side.
He had been with Eleven Wonders since 2022, and his move to Karela United brings an end to his spell with the club after several seasons.
Karela United are hoping the defender’s experience and consistency will provide greater depth and competition in their backline as they look to improve on their ninth-place finish in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League.
The club have been active in the transfer market as they prepare for the new season, with Afurapoe becoming another addition to their defensive department.
The defender is expected to link up with his new teammates as Karela United intensify their pre-season preparations.
For Afurapoe, the move represents an opportunity for a fresh start and a chance to establish himself at his new club while helping Karela United achieve their ambitions.
The Anyinase-based side will be hoping the signing can contribute to a stronger defensive campaign and help them climb higher in the Ghana Premier League standings.
